Africa in me
"Africa in Me" these frames are my old to Africa I've been specifically drawn to South Africa is why I use South African turquoise beads on these frames. I really wanted to capture a Sunset View Over the Horizon of Africa in these frames utilizing different elements from the continent, from the motherland, from the richness and embodiment of our history and culture.
Design & Structure:
Shape & Frame: They utilize a classic, thin metallic wire frame (likely gold-toned) with a perfectly circular silhouette and delicate metal bridge bars.
Lenses: The frames house oversized, rimless-edge or minimal-rim round lenses featuring a soft, gradient pink-to-peach tint.
Embellishments:
The outer edges of the circular rims are intricately wire-wrapped with small, raw African turquoise gemstone chips that create a textured, colorful mosaic border.
The top outer corners of each frame are heavily adorned with clustered, natural white cowrie shells, giving the eyewear a distinct oceanic, mermaid-core vibe. Three additional small cowrie shells are also anchored directly onto the bottom corner of the left lens.
